About snapx

A small tool with a simple promise.

snapx is a free web utility for saving public videos from social platforms to your device. It runs entirely in your browser — no app to install, no account to create, no upsells.

Why we built it

Video downloaders have a reputation problem: pop-ups, fake buttons, ads stacked on ads, and watermarks slapped on top of someone else's work. We thought a downloader could be one short page, one input, one button. So we built that.

What we believe

• Public means public. We only ever fetch what's already openly published on the source platform.
• Privacy is the default. We don't run analytics tracking your identity, we don't keep your links, and we don't store your files after you've grabbed them.
• Respect the creator. Saving a video for personal viewing is fine. Reposting it as your own — please don't.
• The web is enough. A solid web app should beat any "downloader app" pushed through a store. We're betting the page in front of you.
